Art Without Borders, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with a mission to inspire and expand students’ and educators’ imaginations through the arts and through cultural experiences. AWB aims to provide opportunities for engagement with the arts on multiple platforms to diverse audiences, both domestically and internationally.
ISKRITSA OGNIANOVA, FOUNDER
Iskritsa Ognianova is an Arts & Culture Consultant with over fifteen years of experience in the industry. She has held executive roles in business development, integrated marketing and brand alliance campaigns, sales, fundraising, education, media relations and broadcasting, special events, and cultural heritage management. In New York City, Ms. Ognianova worked most recently at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York City Opera, New York City Ballet, The Nederlander Organization, Carnegie Hall, The New York Musical Festival and The Arthur Miller Journal.
Raised in an opera theater family, she fell in love with the arts, theater and music, and graduated in Musical Theater Performance from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) New York after completing a Master’s in International Tourism from the University of Barcelona, Spain. Always eager to learn about all aspects of the arts and culture industry, she joined the nonprofit management graduate program at Columbia University, Ivy League. Other educational credits include Acting from the National Theater and Film Arts Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria and Jazz voice performance from the Berklee College of Music, LICEU Conservatory Barcelona, Spain.
Ms. Ognianova has a strong interest in international affairs, diplomacy and education. She is a polyglot, certified in English, Russian, Spanish and Bulgarian, and has also studied German, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan, French, and Mandarin Chinese. She is a proud member of The Drama Desk Awards, The Association of Fundraising Professionals and The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
Ms. Ognianova believes deeply in using the arts as a medium to create cross-cultural dialogue. Her New York experience will serve to build a bridge between the U.S.A. and Europe, and encourage global collaboration.
