BIO: Born in Paris France, Indiana Woodward‘s earliest memories are of watching ballet class and being backstage in the theater. After moving to Los Angeles, Indiana began training with Yuri Grigoriev and it was from that moment that she knew that this was going to be her lifelong passion and career.

Indiana began studying at the School of American Ballet in the summer of 2010 and joined the school as a full time student in the fall of 2010. In August 2012 Ms. Woodward became an apprentice with New York City Ballet and a full member of the company in December of the same year. Indiana was promoted to soloist in February 2017.

Ms. Woodward is a recipient of the 2016 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award and 2016 Clive Barnes Foundation Award. In 2010, she won first place in the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive in New York City and was invited to perform at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy gala in Moscow.

BIO: Daniel Ulbricht was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA, and began his dance training at the age of 11. At age 16, Mr. Ulbricht was invited by the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, to continue his training. As a student at SAB, Mr. Ulbricht performed with New York City Ballet as a Jester in Peter Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty.

In December 2000, he became an apprentice with New York City Ballet and in November 2001 he joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. In January 2005, Mr. Ulbricht was promoted to the rank of soloist and principal dancer in May 2007. During his time there, he has danced featured roles in a number of Balanchine, Robbins, Martins, and Wheeldon ballets.

Mr. Ulbricht is a guest teacher at the School of American Ballet, Ballet Academy East, as well as, teaching at a number of well-known national dance schools, private schools, and universities throughout the United States. Mr. Ulbricht is currently the Artistic Advisor of Manhattan Youth Ballet. Mr. Ulbricht is also the Artistic Director of New York State Summer School for the Arts in Saratoga Springs, NY. Mr. Ulbricht is also founder and director of “Stars of American Ballet”, a touring group focusing on high art, education and outreach. Mr. Ulbricht is also the co-founder and producer of “Dance Against Cancer”, an annual benefit for the American Cancer Society. Mr. Ulbricht is also on the board of the National Dance Institute.

AWB Mentorship Program: introducing new teaching Artists & virtual classes

BIO: American, Holly Jean Dorger, is a Principal Ballerina with the Royal Danish Ballet. She joined the corps de ballet after graduation from the School of American Ballet, at 18 years old. In 2013 she was promoted to Soloist after performing roles such as Princess Florine (Blue Bird), Gamzatti and Dew Drop. In 2016 Holly was promoted to Principal Dancer on George Balanchine’s Theme and Variations. Holly Dorger has been given the honor of Knighthood from the Queen of Denmark.

BIO: Polish, Marcin Kupiñski is a Principal Dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet. He joined the corps de ballet in 2002 after his graduation from the National Ballet School in Gdansk. In 2010 he was promoted to Soloist and to a Principal Dancer in 2011.

Highlights from Kupiñski’s repertoire with the Royal Danish Ballet: Junker Ove in A Folk Tale and James in Sylfiden (August Bournonville), Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake (Nikolaj Hübbe and Silja Schandorff), Albrecht in Giselle (Nikolaj Hübbe and Sorella Englund), Prince Desiré in Tornerose (Christopher Wheeldon), Solor in La Bayadère (Nikolaj Hübbe), Prince in The Nutcracker and Apollo(George Balanchine), soloist in Etudes (Harald Lander), Lenskij in Onegin (John Cranko), Gaston in The Lady of the Camellias, Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Benvolio and Prince Paris in Romeo and Juliet (John Neumeier), Tony in the West Side Story Suite ( Jerome Robbins), Chanos in Come Fly Away (Twyla Tharp) and Death in The Death That Best Preserves (Natalia Horecna.)

BIO: David Prottas is a former dancer with the New York City Ballet. His notable theater credits include the 1st National Tour of An American in Paris, the Broadway revival of Carousel and the North Carolina Theatre production’s of West Side Story. He stars in the short film “Tell Me A Story” directed by Liam Amstrong. As a teacher and coach he leads masterclasses throughout the United States in both dance and theater.

BIO: Tanairi Sade Vazquez has made her mark in all avenues of the entertainment world in Broadway, Television and film. As an established Broadway performer, Tanairi’s debut was in The Original Revival cast of West Side Story as one of the shark girls in 2009. After that, she was unstoppable originating her roles in Wonderland, Gigi, and On Your Feet on Broadway and also being part of the First National tour of Come Fly Away. She is currently in the ensemble of Hamilton: An American Musical on Broadway. Her passion for acting doesn’t end at the Broadway stage. Her first big role was a recurring spot as Annie Valdez in Season 3 of Orange Is The New Black. She can also be seen in Law and Order SVU, The Blacklist, The Deuce, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fosse/Verdon, and NBC’s Smash. Her next big project is set to premiere in December 2021, as a featured shark girl Charita in the new remake of West Side Story directed by Steven Spielberg, written by Tony Kushner, and choreographed by Justin Peck.
