BIO: Ashley Laracey was born in Sarasota, Florida. She began her dance training at the age of five with Cheryl Carty and Christine White at the Carty Academy of Theater Dance in Bradenton, Florida. At age 12, she began training with Pavel Fomin, Diane Partington, and Isabel and Javier Dubrocq at Sarasota Ballet of Florida. She continued her studies at age 15 with Victoria Schneider, Olivier Pardina, and Svetlana Osiyeva at the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida. Ms. Laracey entered the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, in the fall of 2001. In October 2002, Ms. Laracey became an apprentice with New York City Ballet, and in February 2003 she joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet and was promoted to soloist in February 2013.

Ms. Laracey has danced many featured roles in George Balanchine, Peter Martins, Jeorme Robbins, Troy Schumacher, Justin Peck and Christopher Wheeldon.

Ms. Laracey is on the board of Balletcollective, an arts collective, and also teaches movement therapy to children and young adults with disabilities, specifically Cerebral Palsy.

Live-streamed on Zoom: Workshop includes warm-up, choreography with individual corrections and ‘Meet the Artist’ Q & A session. Students will learn an excerpt from Andy Blankenbuehler’s choreography.

BIO: Tanairi Sade Vazquez has made her mark in all avenues of the entertainment world in Broadway, Television and film. As an established Broadway performer, Tanairi’s debut was in The Original Revival cast of West Side Story as one of the shark girls in 2009. After that, she was unstoppable originating her roles in Wonderland, Gigi, and On Your Feet on Broadway and also being part of the First National tour of Come Fly Away. She is currently in the ensemble of Hamilton: An American Musical on Broadway. Her passion for acting doesn’t end at the Broadway stage. Her first big role was a recurring spot as Annie Valdez in Season 3 of Orange Is The New Black. She can also be seen in Law and Order SVU, The Blacklist, The Deuce, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fosse/Verdon, and NBC’s Smash. Her next big project is set to premiere in December 2021, as a featured shark girl Charita in the new remake of West Side Story directed by Steven Spielberg, written by Tony Kushner, and choreographed by Justin Peck.

Tanairi Sade Vazquez- Broadway credits: Hamilton, On Your Feet, Gigi, Wonderland, West Side Story Revival. Film/TV: “West Side Story” feature film 2021, “Fosse Verdon”, “Mrs. Marvelous Maisel”, “Law & Order”, “Blacklist”, “Orange Is the New Black” (Season 3), “Smash” (Season 2).

*Subscription package of five (5) Workshops expires in two (2) months after the first workshop taken – we encourage all students to take at least two (2) workshops monthly. Reward class with a Subscription package of five (5) workshops is valid up to one (1) month after the first workshop taken.
